Power of Hope

Our third, on-site vocational program, Power of Hope began in 2022. Students are being trained to pursue employment as electrical technicians in both the private and public sectors.

Please meet two of our Power of Hope students.

Hellen Toles

Hellen, 25, is a student in the first class of Power of Hope, electrical technician vocational training program. Hellen was raised and continues to live with her father. She has long dreamed of becoming an electrical engineer. Power of Hope is providing her an education and skills to be able to become self-supporting and care for her father. Hellen extends her gratitude to Project Redwood for this opportunity for a future that once seemed impossible.

Caroline Kollie

Caroline, mother of two and head of her household, is also a student of the inaugural class of Power of Hope. She has chosen the Power of Hope to further her skills in this emerging job market to create a future for her family. Caroline has said that her extended family has suffered in generational poverty and that she has the hope and determination, and soon the skills, to move into a future of stability.
