It's Fun to be in the P.T.A.

In 2022, a group of parents, led by Rev. Stanley K.D. Briscoe, revamped Hope International's P.T.A.

Rev. Briscoe, along with 6 other parents were elected to grow and improve the P.T.A. They have done that and so much more.

Serving as the link between home and school, they have brought together a community of parents, teachers, and students to support participation in school life. The association meets twice a month, and meetings often have over 100 people.

They have established an office on campus that Rev. Brisco opens three times a week for parents to come and seek information or assistance. He also holds a position on the school board, represent the parent's voice.

This year the P.T.A. held a fundraiser and were able to buy whiteboards for the high school classrooms.

We are a better school because of the commitment and service of the Hope International P.T.A.

Representing Hope On and Off the Field

Not to be outdone by the boy's football team, Hope International's girl's kickball team has taken home the championship trophy 2 times in the last 3 years.

A widely unknown fact, kickball is the second most popular sport in Liberia.

Hope International's team is led by Coach Amochin Glanyon, who has been coaching the team for 4 years and Team Captain Patricia Taylor, a senior.

Coach Glanyon shares that the "25-member team is very strong, as clearly seen by their performance, becoming champions twice in three years."

Patricia shares "I love the game, and I am always attracted to this sport. This is my last year playing for Hope, but I promise that I will always be around to support the team."

Thank you for making Hope International proud on and off the field!

Strong Players and Students

The Hope International football team is one of the oldest teams at the school. It is headed by Coach Howard Brigman, who is an alumni of Hope International's first graduating class in 2013. Coach Brigman shares that after high school "I was fortunate to play in the country's first division league. After years of playing football, I returned to serve my high school as a coach to train and mentor football players."

The captain of the team is senior Lassana Bafalie. He was selected for his leadership on and off the field.
