Good Things Come in Three

Dear Friends of Hope,

Please meet Albert, Siryee, and Michael, the first group of Legacy Students at Hope International. These three young men who are preparing for graduation were part of Hope International’s first kindergarten class when the doors first opened in 2008.

They remind us of the enduring partnership we have all created together. Day after day, year after year, they had the opportunity to pursue an education and a dream for their future because of your generosity, their hard work, and the teachers’ dedication. After graduation, Albert wants to study communications, Siryee plans to study engineering, and Michael wants to become an entrepreneur.

Each and every student that we have supported with post high school education has been made possible through your generosity. Individuals, like you, have stepped into the lives of some of our graduates and walked alongside them in their pursuit of a college degree. If you are interested in learning more about scholarship needs for our graduates, please reach out to Jackie at jackiefrazier@hopeproject.org.

Thank you for your partnership over the years that has made it all possible.

Congratulations Albert, Siryee, and Michael. Honoring you three and all the students at Hope International today, on World Student Day, and every day. We look forward with you towards your bright futures.

Celebrating Today and Every Day, Strong Hope and Strong Women

International Day of the Girl

At Hope International every day is International Day of the Girl where females are 50% of the student body (Liberia's national average is 27%) and 8 of our 13 university scholarship recipients.

Today we celebrate strong hope and strong women! Through your generosity, we are ensuring that Liberia’s girls are equipped to chase their dreams.

The future of Liberia is in safe and beautiful hands.

Together, we are The Hope Project (1).png

Smiling Ear To (H)Ear

Dear Friends of Moses,

At 4am yesterday morning, we received a call from Ghana while Moses was being fitted for his new hearing aid. He is grateful and asked us to share his deep gratitude for what was made possible for him.

He has been tested, fitted, and stocked with batteries. He and Frances, a Hope International teacher who volunteered to accompany Moses, will stay a few more days in Ghana to ensure that all is in good working order and no other hearing aid adjustments are needed.

The journey to get Moses this hearing aid was literally (cross-country and over a 1 ½ years) and figuratively (Covid shutdowns, birth certificates, passports, and travel) so very long. It all began when we asked if anyone had a connection to an audiologist. A Hope Project partner put us in contact with the person who then connected us with the Starkey Hearing Foundation. What followed was additional Hope Project partners joining together with Moses’s Liberian community of support to help him receive the gift of hearing. Though the process was long, all of that seems to fade now when you see the joy that hearing again brings.

Thank you to all that made this possible. It’s a beautiful thing.
