One shirt. One girl. Take 3!

This week is the 6-year anniversary of our very first One shirt. One girl. t-shirt design release.

6 years ago, we saw the art of Skylar Martinez, a local high school student from Leavenworth, Washington. We asked her if she would share her art in an effort to raise the funds to send one girl, Debora Gibson, to college in Liberia. In combination, a particular magic unfolded.

You bought shirts and we started to see them everywhere. This one shirt provided one girl with a nursing degree in December 2019.

A second design was created by another local high school student, Grace Rodriguez, to support Christiana Menyon's college dreams. Christiana is attending university and will graduate in nursing.

It is with great hope that we announce that Skylar Martinez will be creating a third design for a summer 2021 release. With these shirt sales, another Hope International graduate will have her college dreams realized.

Stay tuned!

Empty Boxes, Full Hearts.

On April 24th, together, with our staff, students, and community in Liberia, we gathered in our homes with our Boxes of HOPE to celebrate and honor the work of The Hope Project. We received heartwarming photos and words throughout the evening sharing how (un)Event was unfolding around the country. What a beautiful night we created together, while apart.

We hope to share the news we met our $25,000 goal very soon! We are still tallying and receiving (un)Event gifts. Thank you for partnering with us today and every day.

Putting the Extra in Ordinary.

Just as schools in the United States have had to pivot (swivel, adjust, reinvent, struggle, support, close and open), Hope International has been continually adapting to the numerous challenges that the Coronavirus has presented to schools worldwide.

The students returned in a staggered re-entry on January 4, 2021. Enrollment is up and we are sitting at 1,181 students (which does not include our vocational and night school students).

Hope International is the heart of all we do. All these ordinary school days strung together have created something extraordinary.

Something not of the ordinary variety? Our (un)Event happening on April 24th. Boxes are selling swiftly. Learn more about (un)attending here. The money raised during our annual celebration and fundraiser is how we keep both the ordinary and extraordinary things happening at Hope International.

Together, we are The Hope Project.
