Lessons Learned.

Dear Friends of The Hope Project,

Today, I was to send you a New Year’s letter, a letter that looked forward to all that is hoped for and possible in the coming year. I’m finding this task quite difficult while our country is gripped with shock and a deeply uncertain future.

What there is to celebrate and hold close is the graduation of Hope International’s Class of 2020. The students were honored, celebrated and awarded their high school diplomas.

Hope International’s student lead Alumni Association (some of the members pictured above) hosted a welcoming ceremony, transitioning the students to support and give back to the school that provided their educational opportunities.

It’s these small and large happenings that sustain us all. Liberia models for us the depth of devastation that civil war creates and the long and impossibly difficult road to rebuilding. The resiliency, strength and potential housed in these students, embodies hope for the future and propels us all forward.

Together, we are The Hope Project.

Reasons to Celebrate!

It is with great excitement that we announce all 77 of our 2020 Seniors will be graduating on Friday, January 8, 2021!

With quarantines and school closures, this resilient and exuberant group of students will finally celebrate all that they have achieved.

Together, let's celebrate them, their teachers, and families that have reached this milestone in a time and place that makes it incredibly challenging. Also, we honor all who joined together to support this big/little school that housed their educational dreams and helped them imagine a future full of possibility.

We would also like to introduce you to Abu Kamara, the valedictorian of the class of 2020. Abu desires to continue his post high school education in the field of Computer Science and Economics.

As in years past, we attempt to find scholarship sponsorship for our top two graduates each year. It is a $1,600 a year commitment for 4 years. If something about Abu’s photo pings your heart especially, and you would like to make happen for Abu, please reach out to Jackie at jackiefrazier@hopeproject.org.

Together, we are The Hope Project.

You did what friends do. Stepping in during times of uncertainty and making it all seem possible.

As of today, our year-end goal of $20,000.00 has been met and even exceeded.

Thank you for ushering us all into 2021 with this example of over-the-top generosity and HOPE.

Deeply Grateful,

Jackie
