Sponsor a Teacher

This is our greatest need right now! We have 30 trained and talented teachers and administrators providing education for over 850 children. At this time we have 23 teachers “paid for,"...that is, individuals and groups have taken on the monthly salaries of these 23 individuals. Due to the generosity of many others, we haven’t had to cut back on staff and students…yet. In addition, this coming August we hope to bring on two more teachers and add grade 11 to the school so that we don't have to say goodbye to our current 10th graders. Therefore, our current goal is to have 32 teachers and staff sponsored by September 1^st, 2011. Only 9 more to go!

 

What does teacher sponsorship entail? 

You will be given the name and photo of a teacher, and you commit to covering their monthly salary.   Teachers’ salaries range from $80 to $150 per month (see list below), and your monthly donation can be made through the mail, through most banks’ automatic bill pay service, through Paypal or (soon!) through credit or debit card.   (Click the big orange “Donate Now” button on the Act page for details or “support us monthly” to set up an automatic monthly donation through PayPal).

  

Several teachers’ sponsorships are being done by groups (groups of friends at work, a book club, a Bible study group, etc.) which makes doing good extremely affordable.
